Darryl Dilmore Joins CDFL

1.      What drew you to architecture and design?
I started on the Contractor side in 1975, but I've always liked the design aspect & how construction actually comes together. I moved to the Developer / Architectural side in 2010 & found that I loved taking an idea & seeing it evolve through to construction completion.

2.      What’s your happy place outside of work?
Watching John Wayne movies.

3.      If you weren’t in this role/industry, what’s your alternate dream job?

Movie Industry

4.      What’s one piece of advice you’d give your younger self?

Take time to appreciate life's journey as it's happening, so you don't have many regrets as your journey nears it's end. Be a better husband & father!

5.      What project are you most excited to be involved with at CDFL?

I've enjoyed being involved in several projects so far, but there's not one that I can pick out as a favorite thus far.

6.      Where should we go for lunch if you get to pick?

7.      If you have a week off starting tomorrow, where are you going?

Staying at home & working on home repair projects that need to be done.

8.      What’s a TV show you could rewatch forever?

MASH, All In The Family or The Walton's (I'm Old School)

9.      What's something people are surprised to learn about you?

1) That I'm adopted. 2) I'm a Harry Potter fan.

10.  What are you looking forward to most in your new role?

Taking a project from conception, through design development & watching it come to life during the construction phase.
