Office Update

There’s been quite a lot of activity around CDFL lately – so much in fact, that some of these updates are long overdue. What can we say? It’s been a whirlwind summer! From professional accolades to CDFL on the high seas, there’s never a dull moment around these parts.

First off, congratulations are in order! Architect Katie Lightsey was recently elected to the state AIA Board of Directors and engineer David Luter passed the FE Exam. He is now officially on the path to licensure. A job well done to the both of them.

For one weekend in May, we traded in our protractors for paddles to participate in the Madison County Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Dragon Boat Regatta. The CDFL team, better known that day as (sea)DFL: aquatects + enginoars, cruised to a not-embarrassing 38th place overall. Not bad for a bunch of cubicle dwellers! Special thanks to our fearless leader, Thomas Price.

July saw the University of Mississippi break ground on the Pavilion at Ole Miss, the new basketball arena. We’re proud to be part of this project and excited to see it come to fruition.

And finally, we know the summer is coming to an end because recently bid adieu to our interns, Zach and Will. They were a great addition to the CDFL team and we are appreciative of their time and effort. Thanks again, y’all!
