From groundbreakings to ribbon cuttings, it’s always exciting to see our buildings reach milestones in the building process. Recently, we enjoyed significant events for several projects.

Indoor Practice Facility, recently renamed the Olivia and Archie Manning Athletics Performance Center of the Manning Center, celebrated its ribbon cutting last week. Located beside the South End Zone of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, the Rebels moved into the spectacular $18 million multi-purpose structure in the fall of 2004 and a large expansion and renovation commenced in 2013. CDFL is proud to have been part of this effort and our ongoing partnership with The University of Mississippi.

Despite the weather delay that forced Stewpot to delay their new dining facility Open House, the space has been in use and deeply appreciated by its patrons since this winter. Stewpot was finally able to hold their Open House recently and it was a wonderful event. They did a great job documenting the event over on their website; check that out here.

Raytheon broke ground on an expansion last week, as Governor Phil Bryant, Congressman Gregg Harper, and Senator Terry C. Burton looked on. Raytheon’s Forest facility will produce and test fighter jet radars, and has recently completed the sentinel air defense radar for the U.S. Army. The company says it anticipates growth in the airborne radar and electronic warfare markets, which is why it is expanding. For more coverage, visit WTOK’s site here.
