The UMMC Colony Park Ambulatory Surgery Center and Medical Office Building expands the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s outpatient healthcare network, bringing comprehensive, patient-centered care to the growing communities of central Mississippi. Designed in partnership with HDR, the $112 million, 133,460-square-foot facility serves as a multidisciplinary destination that enhances access to specialty care while creating a seamless experience for patients and providers alike. The facility integrates a medical office building, ambulatory surgery center, advanced imaging services, laboratory, and pharmacy within a single campus. By bringing a diverse range of specialties under one roof, including cardiology, orthopedics, gastroenterology, dermatology, imaging, physical therapy, and neuroscience services, the project promotes collaboration among care teams while simplifying the patient journey.

The medical office building includes 119 exam rooms, treatment and procedure spaces, specialty clinics, rehabilitation areas, provider support spaces, classrooms, and teaching facilities. The ambulatory surgery and imaging center features six operating suites, two procedure suites, pre- and post-operative care areas, sterile processing, consultation rooms, and advanced diagnostic imaging services, including CT and MRI. As a key component of UMMC’s long-term vision for expanding healthcare access, the facility was designed to support both current needs and future growth. The result is a modern healthcare environment that reflects UMMC’s commitment to innovation, efficiency, and exceptional patient care.
