The University of South Alabama Hancock Whitney Stadium
When the University of South Alabama began planning for a new on-campus football stadium, they turned to CDFL Sports. The new home of the Jaguars seats 25,064 people, including 3,000 seats for students; a 650-person club space with chairback seating; 168 Club Level Loge seats; and 11 elevated suites. The stadium also includes media, press box, and support spaces.
Along with traditional seating the stadium also includes three ‘Social Zones’ for fan gathering. The East Concourse Club is an open area with flexible seating for open congregation, the West Concourse Club is a premium gathering area with premium food and beverage open to all chairback ticket holders. The South Endzone Terrace is an open Loge and Drink Rail area with terraced seating extending down to Field Level. The South Endzone Terrace also converts to create a concert stage providing an additional function for the venue.
The Operations Building is home to the Mobile County Commission Center for Student – Athlete Success. The space contains a mix of classrooms, tutor spaces, study tables, and individual study rooms. Additionally, the Universities Athletic Administration Offices area housed on the Third and Fourth Floor. These spaces include individual offices, conference spaces, break areas, and open work spaces.
Other amenities include two full-service kitchens and commissary to serve the clubs, suites, concessions and food service staff support areas, stadium management offices, and a team merchandise store. Home and visiting locker rooms, along with supporting equipment facilities, cheerleader rooms, coaches’ offices, and an officials’ locker room are housed within the new stadium.
