The University of Mississippi Olivia and Archie Manning Athletics Performance Center

The Indoor Practice Facility, recently renamed the Olivia and Archie Manning Athletics Performance Center of the Manning Center, is located beside the South End Zone of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. The Rebels moved into the spectacular $18 million multi-purpose structure in Fall 2004 and an extensive renovation and expansion commenced in 2013.

CDFL partnered with The University of Mississippi to provide a full range of architectural, mechanical, electrical, and site development services for the IPF addition. The Manning Center includes a new football team meeting room sized to accommodate the entire athletic department. Constructed on the north end of the facility lawn, the Roland and Sheryl Burns Meeting Room sits between the building and the south endzone of Vaught Hemingway Stadium. The space is also used for press conferences. Audiovisual connections link the space to the athletic department video rooms as well as to television broadcast connections. Renovations also included a new head coach office suite adjacent to the team meeting room. The suite features a reception area, office area, head coach lounge, shower and restroom facilities, and wardrobe closet.

With the construction of the team room, a new front door and recruiting room was erected on the site of the old team room and pays tribute to the contributions of Ben Williams and James Reed, Ole Miss’ first two African-American football student athletes. The Williams-Reed Football Foyer celebrates the rich tradition of Rebel football with recruits, alumni and fans with interactive exhibits and memorable images for the program’s history.
