The Sandy and John Black Pavilion at Ole Miss

The Sandy and John Black Pavilion at Ole Miss is a new, state-of-the-art collegiate basketball arena on the University of Mississippi campus. The Pavilion boasts a capacity of 9,500 fans and includes many first-class amenities, including courtside and baseline seating for students, three premium club areas for fans, and more than 1,700 premium seats, all within an intimate seating bowl. In addition, the men’s and women’s locker rooms measure almost 1,500 square feet. At the same time, the facility also houses two visiting team locker rooms, officials’ locker rooms, a volleyball locker room, and green room space.

CDFL served as Associate Architect on the $96.5 million multi-phase project. The University of Mississippi selected CDFL to serve alongside Kansas City firm AECOM due to our broad athletic facility experience and campus knowledge. Roles for the project were site design, architectural design manager, MEP engineering design and liaison, parking garage design and coordination, construction administrator, and local advisor.
