Purdue University Folk Field
The Boilermaker’s soccer complex is hailed as one of the great new soccer stadiums in all of college athletics. Unveiled for the 2012 summer season, the Purdue facility includes a spacious locker room complete with a lounge and plenty of room to congregate before and after practice and games. An on-site training room provides for immediate treatment and recovery, while home and visitor team meeting rooms allow for game day strategy sessions.
On the second level, a state-of-the-art press box allows for simultaneous television and radio broadcasts as well as web streams of home contests. The game operations booth, with its unparalleled view of the action, provides fans with a scoreboard, message board, and sound experience like no other.
Designed and constructed in conjunction with the adjacent Alexander Field baseball complex, the two venues are physically linked together with a landscaped pedestrian mall, and aesthetically linked with a traditional design vocabulary. Also included in the project were concessions, public restrooms, new parking facilities, new sports lighting, and pre-wired television camera positions that connect to new broadcast truck pedestals.
