When the law firm of Phelps Dunbar LLP decided to relocate their Jackson office, they turned to CDFL to create a distinctive new design for their new home. The project’s architects sought to provide the law firm with a striking, professional work space that fostered a highly interactive working relationship between the attorneys, paralegals, and administrative assistants. It was also imperative that the renovation’s design maximize the space available. All public areas and conference rooms face a single corridor, looping a dramatic six-story atrium that enhances inter-office communication and infuses the space with natural light. A study in luxury and style, the client-contact areas within the 45,170-square foot facility feature a palette of mahogany millwork, marble floors and countertops, and backlit onyx accents.
