The recently completed elephant habitat at the Zurich Zoo is incredible and well and worth a look. Designed by Swedish firm Markus Schietsch Architekten, the futuristic elephant house features 271 skylights and a series of pools.

Los Angeles’s newest contemporary art museum, and its richest behind the famed Getty, is a stunner. With an endowment of nearly $200 million, the $140 million museum will be home to philanthropist Eli Broad and his wife Edythe’s more than 2,000-piece collection. The beauty of the pieces’ new home will absolutely rival the pieces themselves.
