Not that the average traveler needs to be convinced of Madrid’s cool factor, but this hotel made an already appealing destination even more awesome. 19 of the world’s most talented architects and designers were invited to each design a floor of the Silken Puerta America Madrid and they did not disappoint.

Here’s a peek at the top ten best designs at FastCompany’s annual Innovation by Design Awards and Conference. These designs topped over 1,500 other submissions.

Michael Graves’ 50-year career is multifaceted to say the least, and this new exhibit at the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, New Hampshire spans that entire arc. With 2,000 objects and paintings, this show is an excellent representation of what’s been achieved thus far.

You know we love to close out the weekly reads with some eye candy, and this week is no different. Check out Isamu Noguchi’s architectural playground in Atlanta, which, as the article says, “is art you can touch.”
