What We’re Reading on the Web

As usual, we’ve read the Internet cover-to-cover and rounded up some of the most interesting reads out there for your perusal. Enjoy!

Were the usual tricks and treats not enough for you this year? Not enough fright last night? If so, (and if not!) check out these truly unbelievable pictures taken from the top of the Golden Gate Bridge. Warning: if you are prone to vertigo, these pictures sent anonymously to San Francisco blog The Bold Italic might be overwhelming.

We love talking office design – one of our talented interior designers, Katie Jo Collins, even wrote a post about it earlier this year – and are always excited to see new trends emerge. This link from Architizer sheds some light on where office design is heading as “co-working” and the crumbling of cubicle walls moves forward.

From FastCoExist: two articles profiling winners of the “Greenest School on Earth” competition. Perhaps most impressive is that neither school is a particularly wealthy institution; the stories profile Hong Kong’s Sing Yin Secondary School, one of the area’s low-income institutions and the Uaso Nyiro Primary School of Kenya – both are proof positive that sustainable design is no longer just for the rich.

And while this building isn’t technically dressed up for Halloween, it certainly can qualify as a Transformer. Watch this shed become an open-air playhouse that seats 100.

Have a great weekend!
