Project Update: Trustmark Fondren

The Trustmark Fondren team is hard at work on site and in the office. This week the team met for a Building Envelope Review Meeting (BERM) with the contractor and subcontractors involved in the building envelope.

Studies indicate that 85% of building issues are related to the exterior envelope and related to moisture and air infiltration. Of those issues, almost all are related to a very small segment of the exterior building surface – usually where dissimilar materials and systems meet.

For this reason, as part of a Construction Quality Control process, CDFL met with WG Yates Construction and its subcontractors in a comprehensive pre-construction review and discussion of all significant joints in the building exterior. Envelope Specialist Patrick Lazzari of Sinergi Consulting moderated a round-table analysis and discussion to establish consensus and clarify specific limits of work for each trade, to further ensure a clean construction process.

CDFL is proud to be part of this project and excited to see it move forward! Stay tuned for more updates.
