Mississippi Museums Project Update

This update on the Two Mississippi Museums Project was written by architect Mike Reese.

Exciting progress continues to be made at the Mississippi Civil Rights and Mississippi History Museums site. Concrete reigns supreme as the king of material being used at both museum projects. Many of the site’s pours begin as early as 1:00 AM and finishing is typically completed by noon.

The History Museum is now built up to the first floor level. The Civil Rights Museum staff parking levels are almost complete and the pile caps for the public parking garage have started.

Things are moving quickly and we are thrilled with the progress being made!
