Meet the Team: Samantha King

CDFL Architects + Engineers, P.A. is growing, and we are excited to announce that Samantha King has joined our team as an Architect!

What led you to architecture?
My dad actually suggested architecture to me because I have always enjoyed math, sciences, and drawing. I gave it a shot and haven't turned back!

What projects are you currently working on?
Currently, I am working on the Mitchell Cancer Center Addition at the University of South Alabama, Auburn University's Plainsman Park Renovations, Alcorn Whitney Complex Renovation and Expansion, and the occasional various Life Safety Code review for temporary grandstands for Formula 1 races!

What is your favorite summertime activity?
I'm all over the place when it comes to activities in general, though during the summertime I enjoy rollerblading while the weather is nice.

What is one thing people may not know about you?
That's a tough one because I tend to be pretty vocal about my interests! I have always been interested in the design and construction of furniture. After many years of thought and anticipation, I will be working on some of my own furniture designs in the coming months, with assembly to follow.

Who is your favorite musical artist?
100% Modest Mouse! They will always be my favorite, with Lord Huron as a close second, and many 90s alt/rock/indie bands that follow.
