Meet the Team: Katie Murphy

CDFL Architects + Engineers, P.A. is growing, and we are excited to announce that Katie Murphy has joined our team as an Architectural Designer!

What exciting things are you working on right now?
I’m working on phase 3 of a renovation of Patterson Hall at Mississippi State which includes a rooftop lounge, as well as a renovation of Vardaman Hall at the University of Mississippi

What have you learned so far working at CDFL?
Lots of learning my way around Revit so far

What’s your favorite TV show?
Succession!

What do you spend the most time doing outside of work?
Spending time with my husband and our dog Lola, going on walks around our neighborhood, needlepointing, and working in our garden!

What's the last movie you saw?
28 Years Later

What’s your favorite lunch spot in the neighborhood?
Green Ghost Tacos or Zundo!

If you hadn't gone to architecture school, what would you have wanted to do?
I probably would have pursued something else in the arts, maybe graphic design.

What’s your favorite vacation spot?
Hot Springs, Arkansas! It’s fun any time of the year
