Meet the Team: Karla Bennett

CDFL Architects + Engineers, P.A. is growing, and we are excited to announce that Karla Bennett has joined our team as Business Manager!

What exciting things are you working on right now?
I am hoping to help wrap up 2024 & getting started with the new year’s accounting tasks.

What have you learned so far working at CDFL?
Architecture & Engineering is a new industry for me, so I have much to learn, but so far, I am seeing that often both businesses’ challenges and goals are quite similar. It takes a team to overcome the obstacles & to accomplish the dreams. CDFL seems to have a great TEAM culture!

What’s your favorite TV show?
I love Abbot Elementary & most any Magnolia Network show that is on.

What do you spend the most time doing outside of work?
Hanging out with family. Playing with my 1-year-old grandson and visiting an 11-year-old granddaughter in Oxford as much as possible.

What's the last movie you saw?
I saw Bonhoeffer with my mom over the holidays. Almost daily, my grandson & I see at least part of Sing or Sing 2. He LOVES them both.

What’s your favorite lunch spot in the neighborhood?
I am game for most any spot in the neighborhood. The Bean is a go-to for me often.

If you hadn't gone to finance and accounting school, what would you have wanted to do?
If I had not ended up in finance and accounting, I would have loved to gone to architectural school!

What’s your favorite vacation spot?
My most memorable vacation was a trip to Jasper National Park & Banff in western Canada when my sons were young, but I am ready for a trip most anywhere anytime.
