Meet the Team: Jared Woullard

CDFL Architects + Engineers, P.A. is growing, and we are excited to announce Jared Woullard has joined our team as an Architectural Designer!

What exciting things are you working on right now?
The most recent and most exciting thing that I have been working on is the Paddlehouse project, a new pickleball court with a spin that prioritizes a customer and guest experience with a lounge, restaurant, bar, ice cream shop, indoor and outdoor courts.  Just a project I can’t wait to experience for myself after it wraps up.

What have you learned so far working at CDFL?
Being inquisitive will get you much farther than trying to do it alone.  One thing I’ve learned is that that is a long way of doing things and there is a more efficient way of doing things.  The efficient ways have and are being taught to me every day by the women and men that have worked in this profession long before me.

What’s your favorite TV show?
I am a huge movie guy but for TV shows, I would have to say the most recent is Severance. A twist in the balance of work life and home life

What do you spend the most time doing outside of work?
Probably reading, gardening, or doing small projects around the house with my fiancé

What's the last movie you saw?
Interstellar (my favorite movie) but I also watch it as many times as I can

What’s your favorite lunch spot in the neighborhood?
Currently, I love going to Pig & Pint. The pulled pork tray hits the spot every time

If you hadn't gone to engineering school, what would you have wanted to do?
I would have been a carpenter.  I love to build things.  Something so beautiful about starting with some tools and materials and making something beautiful and useful to people.  I think that’s why I chose to make architecture my primary profession.

What’s your favorite vacation spot?
In the U.S. - St. George Island.  I love to go camping there with my friends.  Outside of the U.S. - Valencia, Spain.  The city of arts and sciences, food, and culture is so captivating.
