Meet the Team: Andrew Beard

CDFL Architects + Engineers, P.A. is growing, and we are excited to announce that Andrew Beard has joined our team as an Engineer in training!

What do you do at CDFL?
I currently design Plumbing and HVAC systems as an Engineer in training.

What exciting thing are you working on right now?
The new UMMC Medical Office Building and ASC in Ridgeland, MS. This is exciting to me because some family and friends may be working there once it is built. I am also able to see both the design and construction process in person since I drive past the building almost every day.

What have you learned so far working at CDFL?
How having a great team that enjoys working with each other is beneficial to the productivity and overall morale of the office.

What’s your favorite TV show?
Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad are tied for my favorite TV shows.

What do you spend the most time doing outside of work?
I enjoy hanging out with my family, playing video games, and playing golf at some local courses.

What’s the last movie you saw?
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

What's your favorite lunch spot in the neighborhood?
My go-to spot to eat is Bulldog Burger on Lake Harbour Dr. in Ridgeland, MS.

If you hadn't gone to engineering school, what would you have wanted to do?
If I did not go to engineering school, I would have most likely joined the Air Force or Navy to become a pilot.

What’s your favorite vacation spot?
Orange Beach, Alabama
