Meet the Team: Daniel Zegel
It’s time again to introduce a new CDFL employee, or as we like to think of ourselves, the “us” in the Power of Plus. This week we are proud to introduce the newest member of our architectural team Daniel Zegel.
What do you do at CDFL?
I am the newest architect at CDFL.
What exciting thing are you working on right now?
Right now I have been helping on the front end of a few projects doing conceptual work and putting together presentations for our clients. It’s a good way to learn about the projects we have going on right now.
What’s your favorite TV show?
I like the classics - Jeopardy and the Andy Griffith Show.
What do you spend the most time doing outside of work?
I spend most of my time outside of work with my wife, Anne Elizabeth, and our daughter Shelby Grey. We love to be with our friends and family and we spend a good deal of time outside, usually in our yard or going on walks in our neighborhood. After spending almost a decade in New Orleans, we are really enjoying finding our new favorite spots in Jackson. When I get the chance, I also love to play golf, go for a sail, and go hiking.
What is the best thing about working at CDFL?
After being at CDFL a few months, I can easily say the people and overall culture are the best things about CDFL.
What’s the last movie you saw?
Pixar’s Soul
What’s your favorite lunch spot in the neighborhood?
Basil’s
If you hadn't gone to architecture school, what would you have wanted to do?
I probably would have been a high school teacher and football coach.
What's your favorite vacation spot?
Maine. Particularly the region between Portland and Acadia National Park. My wife and I have been going there every fall for the past few years and plan to continue..
