Position Overview: As a Project Architect at CDFL, you will play a pivotal role in the design and execution of all types of projects from concept to completion. You will collaborate closely with clients, project teams, and other design professionals to create innovative and functional environments. This role demands a deep understanding of all aspects of project production and management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the architectural design process for all types of projects, including conceptualization, space planning, programming, and schematic design.

• Collaborate with clients, project managers, engineers, and consultants to develop design solutions that align with project goals, budgets, and timelines.

• Conduct thorough research to stay current with industry standards, guidelines, and emerging trends, incorporating this knowledge into design strategies.

• Prepare and present design proposals, presentations, and project updates to clients and stakeholders, effectively communicating design concepts and rationale.

• Develop comprehensive construction documents, including detailed drawings, specifications, and materials selection, while ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.

• Participate in the construction administration phase, conducting site visits, addressing design-related issues, and coordinating with contractors to ensure design intent is maintained throughout construction.

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive design process, promoting teamwork and knowledge-sharing among project teams and peers.

Qualifications:

• Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.

• Licensed Architect with active registration in Mississippi or the ability to obtain reciprocity quickly.

• 8+ years of experience in architectural design

• Proficiency in industry-standard design software, including Autodesk Revit, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite.

• Strong understanding of design principles, building codes, and project management.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex design ideas clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.

• Proven track record of successfully managing and leading architectural projects, from concept to construction administration.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Collaborative mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous learning.

Location: This position will be in Jackson, Mississippi.
