James Worth Bagley College of Engineering Master Plan

CDFL developed a comprehensive Master Plan for the James Worth Bagley College of Engineering at Mississippi State University to support long-term growth and innovation across its academic facilities. The plan was built around a detailed analysis of nine key buildings totaling over 417,000 square feet, addressing space utilization, connectivity, and opportunities for collaborative learning environments.

Key priorities included creating open and flexible learning spaces, enhancing building connections, and introducing areas designed to encourage student interaction and hands-on discovery. The plan established a vision that balances historic preservation with modern functionality, ensuring the college remains a leader in engineering education.

This Master Plan has guided multiple CDFL-designed projects, including the Patterson Engineering Laboratories Renovation and the Randy J. Cleveland Engineering Student Center Renovation and Addition, both developed in collaboration with the Mississippi Department of Archives and History (MDAH).
