Middle Tennessee State University Reese Smith Jr. Field

Situated on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, the 2009 renovation of Reese Smith Jr. Field enhanced the existing baseball stadium with upgraded spectator seating, media accommodations, and fan amenities.

The stadium features a pre-engineered aluminum grandstand system with chair-back seating between the dugouts directly behind home plate and additional chair-back seating beneath the press box canopy. Bench-back seating flanks each side, bringing the grandstand’s total seating capacity to 2,600. Brick columns, steel picket fencing, and gates replaced the ballpark’s chain-link enclosure.

The press box behind the grandstand provides spacious media accommodations, including game operations, radio booths, a television booth, and two luxury suites. Concessions and restrooms are located at ground level beneath the grandstand structure, while a walk-up ticket booth sits just outside the third-base gate. The field measures 330 feet down the foul lines, 365 feet to the power alleys, and 390 feet to straightaway center field.

CDFL provided architectural services as design architect, while Moody-Nolan served as Architect of Record.
