Olivia and Archie Manning Athletics Performance Center
Addition and Renovation

When the University of Mississippi recognized the need to reimagine the Olivia and Archie Manning Athletics Performance Center, they turned to CDFL Sports. A 20 year old facility that was a first of its kind among Division I peers had fallen behind. Previous renovations helped to enhance the collegiate athletic experience but now fall short of providing the needs of modern athletic departments with a focus on football. The project creates an additional 28,000 SF of facility amenities while renovating another 63,300 SF of existing spaces.

CDFL Sports teamed with world renown athletic performance center experts, HOK, to enhance the new sports medicine, weight room, and meeting room spaces. Office space incorporates room for future staff growth and brings all football team operations together on the same level. The weight room moves to a new location and increased in size and height. Positions meeting rooms increase in size while a dedicated Defensive Meeting room is added. Player plunge pools are added to the locker room and a new concept in player equipment display is introduced.

Natural light plays an important role in the facility. Large expanses of glass help with well-being and connection to the outside world while a row of sky lights brighten the double height corridor adjacent to the indoor practice field. Windows were added to view the indoor practice field from the second floor of the addition creating connection between the football operations offices and a perch to view the activities on the field.
