Gertrude C. Ford Hope Lodge

Since 1970 the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge program has provided a free home away from home for cancer patients and their caregivers and now Mississippi residents have a Hope Lodge to call their own.

The Gertrude C. Ford Hope Lodge, located in Jackson, MS, offers 32 guest rooms for guests who travel more than 40 miles to Jackson to receive cancer treatment. The facility is located across the street from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and in close proximity to other treatment centers.

The Ford Hope Lodge offers guests a private room with two beds and a bathroom. The Lodge also includes a family-style kitchen with cubbies and refrigerator and freezer space for those visiting to store foods and cook meals.

The Lodge also provides two dining areas, a fitness area, library, prayer room, two outdoor spaces and small balconies on floors with the rooms, and a lounging area on those floors.

CDFL provided architectural design support and assistance to Trivers and provided completed MEP design services.
