Position Overview: As an Electrical Engineer at CDFL Architects + Engineers, you will play a key role in our commitment to delivering high-quality, cutting-edge engineering solutions to our clients. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects while collaborating with a team of talented engineers and architects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in the design and development of electrical systems for a wide range of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes.

  • Manage electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.

  • Collaborate closely with architects, other engineering disciplines, and clients to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the overall project design.

  • Stay current with knowledge of local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations to ensure all designs meet required standards.

  • Conduct thorough quality checks and reviews of electrical designs to ensure accuracy and functionality.

  • Prepare detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and reports, and assist in the preparation of construction documents.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing excellent communication and service throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends in electrical engineering, incorporating innovative solutions into project designs where appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.

  • Registered Engineer in the state of Mississippi or the ability to obtain quickly.

  • Minimum of five years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably with a focus on building design and construction projects.

  • Proficiency in Revit and electrical system analysis tools and/or the ability to learn.

  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and regulations, including NEC and local building codes.

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

Location: This position is available in Jackson, Mississippi or Birmingham, Alabama
