Auburn Hall of Fame Club
In conjunction with Auburn's season opener, Auburn Athletics Director John Cohen, Baseball Coach Butch Thompson, and Program Legend Frank Thomas unveiled the Hall of Fame Club, named in honor of Thomas, at Plainsman Park in Auburn. The new club space, is part of a grander stadium renovation costing $30 million, features 108 premium seats directly behind home plate at Plainsman Park, along with a 3,000-square foot climate-controlled indoor club space that includes a full bar, merchandise, televisions, restrooms, and additional indoor seating.
Previously hailed by Baseball America as the best collegiate baseball facility in the country, CDFL originally designed this complex to incorporate modern amenities yet respect the character of its campus context and the traditions of the sport. The Hall of Fame Club continues to build on the legacy of the complex.
"This Hall of Fame Club is out of sight, and I've been to a lot of venues now being in this league for going on three decades," Coach Thompson added. "It's awesome, but it's just an appetizer of what we're doing and where we're headed."
